Marketing/news email is optional and separate from Terms, Privacy Notice and transactional mail.

Exact optional checkbox text:

“I want to receive Tape In news and information about new services and features by email.”

The checkbox is unchecked by default. Refusal does not block registration, core service access, verification, security, password-reset or other transactional service messages. The choice may be withdrawn for future marketing.
