Tape In Studio — Product Terms

Revision: 26 September 2026 · Effective: 26 September 2026

Revision STUDIO-RU-003. English translation of the Russian legal profile; product-specific terms supplementing the Tape In Core Terms.

1. Service

Tape In Studio (“Studio”) is Tape In’s browser-based multitrack audio studio for creating, recording, editing, storing and recovering musical/audio projects. These terms supplement the Tape In Core Terms only for Studio-specific matters.

2. Account and acceptance

Studio cloud functions use the unified Tape In account. The effective Product Terms are presented at the product-specific first-use point provided by Studio. Tape In records the version and acceptance time separately from marketing or other independent consents. Re-acceptance is required only for a material change or where required by law.

3. User Content and audio

Rights in projects, recordings, text, titles, MIDI data, audio materials and other User materials do not transfer to Tape In because Studio is used. The User grants only the limited technical permission needed for selected functions: receiving/storing data, technical reproduction/transformation of audio, project synchronization, revision history, recovery and backup within the active infrastructure.

Tape In does not obtain the right to independently publish, sell, license or use private User projects or audio in advertising without a separate lawful basis.

4. Storage

Studio server data and private User audio are stored in Tape In’s Russian production environment. The User’s browser may store local working state, recovery data and preferences. Local and server copies have separate lifecycles: clearing the browser does not automatically delete server data, and server deletion cannot erase copies independently saved by the User on their own devices.

5. Deletion, trash and inactivity

Deleted projects and Audio Notes have a 30-day User recovery window. After the applicable lifecycle expires, data is removed from the active product environment under Tape In’s retention/deletion rules.

While Studio is provided for free, Studio data may be permanently deleted after 365 consecutive calendar days without confirmed authenticated activity in Studio itself. Activity in Setlist, Metronome or another Tape In product does not reset Studio inactivity. The unified Tape In account and other product data remain active.

Backups have a separate rotation period and are not intended as an individual restore path for Studio data deleted under the long-inactivity rule.

6. Export and account deletion

Available export/account-deletion mechanisms are described in the interface and the Data Rights, Deletion and Export page. Deleting the unified account affects linked product data under the applicable lifecycle and mandatory lawful retention requirements.

7. Personal data

Personal-data processing is governed by the Tape In Policy. Studio is not designed for biometric voice identification and is not intended for targeted processing of special-category personal data of identifiable persons. Users should minimize third-party personal data and must have a lawful basis where such data is necessary for a project.

8. Acceptable use and rights in materials

Users must have the required rights or lawful grounds for uploaded/created materials. Users must not obtain unauthorized access to another User’s projects/audio, bypass access controls, interfere with the service or use Studio to violate law or third-party rights.

9. Analytics

Tape In first-party analytics may record page visits and general usage events described in the Personal Data Processing Policy. Project content, audio files, MIDI data and email are not sent to the analytics database.

10. Beta and free mode

Studio is evolving and may be provided as a beta service. The current free mode does not create a paid subscription, automatic renewal or an obligation to provide a payment method. Separate commercial terms are published before paid mode is launched.

11. Changes and law

Each published revision has its own version and date. Material changes require new explicit confirmation where required by the contract framework or law. Russian law applies subject to mandatory rules.
